Diamonds In 1st Place In Fast-Pitch Softball

Manenggon, Guam – The Bud Light Women’s Fast-Pitch League continued regular season action Sunday at Leo Palace Resort with two games at 4:30pm and 7:00pm.  In the first game the Lady Diamonds took another convincing 12-4 win over the American Standard Insurance Tough Chicks to move atop the Bud Light Women’s Fast-Pitch League standings.  In the nightcap Bottomed Out pounded out nineteen hits in route to a 17-11 win over the Baby Bottoms.

Lady Diamonds 12 ASI Tough Chicks 4

The Lady Diamonds and American Standard Insurance Tough Chicks faced off in the opening game with the Lady Diamonds extended their win streak to 3 game and move atop the Bud Light Women’s Fast-Pitch League standings with a 12-4 win over the Tough Chicks.

Lady Diamond’s starting pitcher Saij Duenas went five strong innings to pick up the win and Tamisha Fejeran blasted two long triples and four rbi to pick up Strike Zone Player of the Game.  Danielle Preuc and Kristen Uson had two hits each for the Tough Chicks who drop their second straight game to the Lady Diamonds.

The Lady Diamonds improve to 4-1 and the ASI Tough Chicks drop to 3—2 on the season.

Bottomed Out 17 Baby Bottoms 11

In the Sunday nightcap Bottomed Out evened their record at 2-2 with a 17-11 win over the younger Baby Bottoms.

Bottomed Out rallied for seven runs in the 4th inning lead by Tiana Chaco who was 3 for 4 and Jessian Taijeron who was 3 for 5 in the game.  Tamisha Roberto, Latoya Mojica and Vanessa Cruz combined to preserve the win and hold off a late rally by the Baby Bottoms.  Kaylene Blas was 2 for 3 with three runs for the Baby Bottoms in the loss.

Bottomed Out evens their record at 2-2 with the win and Baby Bottoms drop their 4th straight game to fall to 1-4 on the season.
