Guam – Guam Police have arrested Diego Kintin following a 4 vehicle accident in Yona Saturday morning.
He’s accused of crashing his Jeep Liberty into the 3 other vehicles, then fleeing the scene.
And then Police say he left his 1-year old daughter inside the Jeep after he fled on foot from a pursing officer. And when the pursing Officer finally caught up with him, he’s accused of punching that officer twice in the face.
According to GPD Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia, the accident happened about 9:30am Saturday on Jesus Pangelinan Street in Yona. The operator of a Jeep Liberty crashed into 3 cars and then left the scene.
Soon after, an Hagatna Precinct Officer noticed the Jeep at the Yona Mobil. When the Officer approached the vehicle, the operator fled across Route 4 towards the Balajadia Apartments.
The Officer followed and observed the suspect enter one of the apartments through a back door. As the Officer approached, he turned his “attention momentarily towards an individual the suspect spoke to” and the suspect then “punched the officer twice to his face”, states Officer Balajadia’s release.
The suspect fled out the front door, backup was called in to help locate the suspect who was eventually found with the help of neighbors.
“A check of the Jeep Liberty reviled the suspect fled, leaving his 1-year-old daughter in the car”, states the release.
The 28 year old Kintin was booked and confined on *3 Counts Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage; *DUI; *2 Counts Assault on a Police Officer; *Child Abuse; *Eluding a Police Officer; *Resisting Arrest; *Disorderly Conduct; *Public Drunkenness and *No Driver License.
His 1 year old daughter was released to a family member.

YONA – 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014, the operator of a Jeep Liberty crash into three cars on Jesus Pangelinan Street, Yona. A Hagatna Precinct officer noticed the suspect vehicle by the Yona Mobil as he attempted to approach the suspect, he fled across Route 4 towards the Balajadia Apartments. The officer followed the suspect to a unit at the Balajadia apartments which the suspect entered through the back door. The officer redirected his attention momentarily towards an individual the suspect spoke to, the suspect then punched the officer twice to his face. The suspect then fled out the front door.
Additional units arrived to assist the officer in locating the suspect. With the assistance of neighbors, the officers were able to corner suspect and take him into custody. A check of the Jeep Liberty reviled the suspect fled, leaving his 1-year-old daughter in the car.
Arrested: Diego Kintin (John Doe); Male/Chuukese/28/Dededo, for 3 Counts Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage; DUI; 2 Counts Assault on a Police Officer; Child Abuse; Eluding a Police Officer; Resisting Arrest; Disorderly Conduct; Public Drunkenness and No Driver License. Kintin was booked and confined.
The child and the vehicle were released to Kintin’d family member.
