Guam – A diesel oil spill on Route 2 in Agat Saturday morning prompted the closure of a few lanes for a few hours while the spill was cleaned up.
The spill was reported at 8:30am. It occurred at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 2A, near the front gate to Naval Base Guam.
GFD Spokesman Lt. Ed Artero told PNC News the source of the leak is unknown, but it may have been a leak from a passing vehicle.
GHS/OCD Spokeswoman Alyssa Benito issued a statement saying that the northbound inner lane from Pizza Hut Agat to Taco Bell was temporarily closed along with the northbound inner lane in Piti from Kwikspace to the traffic light.

The Department of Public Works is assisting with clean up.
