The Division of Public Welfare announces the following instructions during Pandemic Condition of Readiness 1, effective August 16, 2020:

  1. Renewal Notices:

  • Will be mailed to customers whose benefits will be expiring in September, 2020;

  • The Eligibility Specialists (ES) will not be conducting a face-to-face interview; customers are required to submit their renewal application and required documents through the drop box at their respective centers or send an email to publicassistance@dphss.guam.gov; and

  • Customers are advised to provide a reliable contact number should the ES have questions or need further clarification.

  1. Applications, Change Reports, Periodic Change Reports:

  •  Please drop off documents at your respective centers using the drop box at the Northern or Central Office (located in the RanCare Building in Tamuning across from National Office Supply)

  •  Work Programs Section (WPS):

    • Recipients participating in the Job Opportunities and Basic Skills Program (JOBS) or Guam Employment Training Program (GETP) are excused from participating until such time they are contacted by their assigned JOBS/GETP Case Manager/Social Worker.

    • Participant Reimbursement Requests (PRR) for transportation and/or work-related expenses for the month of July 2020 (which are due no later than August 31, 2020) will be accepted by the end of the month in which PCOR 3 is expected to be declared.

  • Child Care Development Fund (CCDF):

  • Quality Control (QC):

    • Households that have been selected for quality control (QC) review will be conducted via phone in lieu of a face-to-face interview.
