DOAG will start selling hunting licenses on Friday, October 1


The Department of Agriculture’s (DOAG), Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources (DAWR) will commence selling Hunting Licenses for Fiscal Year 2022 starting Friday, October 1, 2021.

Beginning this year, applicants will be issued an actual hunting license identification card with photo instead of a paper license. Applicants will be required to present a valid identification. Acceptable forms of identification include:

• Valid government photo identification card OR
• Certified Birth Certificate or Social Security Card WITH a Photo ID card OR
• A Valid U.S. Passport

Hunters will be required to complete an application form and pay $15.00. The FY22 hunting license will be valid from October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022.

Deer tags will be sold at $10 and are valid for the deer season (1 October 2021 – March 31, 2022). Each licensed hunter may purchase a maximum of three tags.

Only cash or check for the exact amount will be accepted.

Hunting is restricted to individuals 13 years of age or older. Additional restrictions include:

• Youth between 13 and 17 years of age must be accompanied by a licensed hunter 18 years of age or older.
• Youth between 13 and 17 years of age who are hunting with firearms must be accompanied by a parent or guardian possessing a valid firearms identification card as required by 10 GCA § 60121 (g) (2).

DOAG’s office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. DOAG cashiers’ office is closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch.
