Part of Overdue OT Owed to DOC Employees Could Be Paid Friday

Guam – Guam Department of Corrections employees may be getting some of more than $1.5 million dollars in over time they’re owed by Friday.

DOC Acting Director Antone Aguon told PNC News that a $600-thousand dollar grant has been approved from the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP).

He said that  “$400,000 of that money has been ear marked to pay for overtime for this fiscal year, 3 pay periods.”

“We are hoping for Friday, I still have my fingers crossed that it still comes out. Barring any other issues with the money and Bureau of Budget and Management Research we will just work with them to see when we can get it out.”

As for the rest of the overtime still owed he said they are still working with the Guam Department of Administration to find the remaining funds.
