Guam – The Director of the Department of Public Health and Social Services, James Gillan, has announced that the Division of Public Welfare, Child Care Development Fund (CCDF), will be opening child care assistance slots to qualified eligible families beginning April 15.
Individuals needing to apply for child care assistance are encouraged to download an application from the DPHSS website at http://www.dphss.guam.gov or at http://www.guamkids.org. Or you may pick up a copy from the Bureau of Management Support (BMS) during office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm). BMS is located at the Legacy Square Building, down the hill behind KFC.
To be eligible the parent or parents must either be working and/or attending school, meet the CCDF income limit and submit the required verification and documents.
Failure to report or hiding information in order to qualify for assistance is considered fraud under federal and local laws. If found guilty of an intentional program violation, the applicant(s) will be ineligible to participate in the program for one year for the first violation, two years for the second violation and permanently for the third violation.
