Department of Public Health and Social Services Art San Agustin clarified Thursday that the Pfizer booster shot is still not open to all.
Earlier, Dr. Nathaniel Berg, the chairman of the governor’s Physicians Advisory Group, said that everyone 18 years old and above can now come in and get their Pfizer booster dose, not just the manamko and those with underlying medical conditions.
But in an interview with NewsTalk K57’s Patti Arroyo, San Agustin said there are still eligibility requirements for those who want to get Pfizer booster shots.
These eligibility requirements are:
= 65 years and older
= Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
= Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
= Age 18+ who work in high-risk settings
= Age 18+ who live in high-risk settings
San Agustin said they are in constant communication with federal health authorities in case these eligibility requirements are modified.
