Last Friday, the Department of Public Health and Social Services’ (DPHSS) Immunization Program placed an order of 2,340 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, and 8,500 doses of the Johnson and Johnson/Janssen (J&J/Janssen) vaccines, totaling 10,840 additional COVID-19 vaccines for April. All vaccines are anticipated to arrive within three to five business days.
DPHSS’ request for an increase in its April allocation was granted. As part of its request, DPHSS’ April allocation for the J&J/Janssen vaccine expanded from 1,300 doses, which arrived earlier this month, to 18,200 doses. The remaining 8,400 doses will be ordered later this month.
