Guam – The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) has announced the continuation of the monthly Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) immunization outreach for the northern and southern communities.
For northern WIC clients, the immunization outreach will be the first Friday of each month at the Dededo Public Health Center and begins January 3, 2014, starting at 9:00am until supplies last. For southern WIC clients, the immunization outreach will be the third Friday of each month starting at 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and will alternate between the Agat and Yona Community Centers starting on January 17, 2014 at the Agat Community Center.
The outreach promotes the importance of vaccination and encourages parents to immunize their children in a timely manner. All necessary vaccinations will be given (except the Varicella or Chickenpox vaccine). Parents must bring their child’s most current immunization record, birth certificate and their WIC ID.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or by an adult with written parental authorization or legal documentation and valid photo ID.
