Guam – Following complaints, the Department of Public Health [DPHSS] has tweaked the restrictions on its service hours deciding to open a half day on Friday, rather than all of Friday.
DPHSS announced earlier this week that because their computer data system crashed and because of staff shortages, they would only service 30 customers in the morning and 30 customers in the afternoon Monday thru Thursday while remaining closed Friday.
However a release issued today announces that they will service 30 customers on Friday mornings, and close only on Friday afternoons.
The new, limited service schedule takes effect next Tuesday, December 10th.
READ the revised release from DPHSS below:
Effective next Tuesday, December 10, 2013, due to a shortage of staff, the window service at the Office of Vital Statistics will be limited to the first 30 customers in the morning (Monday to Friday) and the first 30 customers in the afternoon (Monday to Thursday, closed Friday afternoon).
Numbers will be available starting 8:00 am in the morning and 1:00 pm in the afternoon.
Priority is given to senior citizens (55 years and older) and people with disabilities.
Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
