Guam – DPR Director Pete Calvo says they’re still trying to determine the exact cause of the light outage at the Agana swimming pool. The pool has had to reduce it’s hours of operation and is now closed at night’s because none of their lights are working. The pool is now only open Tuesday through Friday from 6am to 6pm and 10am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Calvo says they’ve had more than one person look at it and they have yet to determine whether or not its the wiring, the fixtures, the ballast or just the bulbs. “Part of the reason why we really didn’t have a definite plan of action was that assessing the electrical requirements are a little bit difficult one contractor came in and said this is the problem DPW came in and said no it’s just this of course we also had problems just trying to get lifts to actually see the fixtures above to ensure that maybe in fact it might not be any of those problems but just the fixture,” explained Calvo. Calvo says that once they determine the exact problem and the cost of repairing it they will still need the money to repair it.
