The Department of Public Works in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, activated a flashing yellow arrow traffic signal at the Route 8/Canada-Toto Loop Road Intersection in Barrigada this week.
This traffic signal will allow motorists to turn left after yielding to oncoming traffic.
The flashing yellow arrow is designed to help prevent vehicular accidents, move more traffic through intersections and provide additional traffic management flexibility. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through this area.
The light will present four different signals with a flashing yellow light.
When the flashing yellow light is present motorists are allowed to turn left when traffic is clear. Motorists must yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
