DPW Completes Work on Road Failure: All Lanes Open


Guam motorists will be happy to hear that repair to the section of collapsed road on Route 1 is nearly complete.

Guam –  According to a release from the department of public works, all 6 lanes are now open on route 1 in east Agana. DPW says that temporary pavement markings have been installed and permanent markings should be completed within the next couple days according to the release. DPW director Glenn Leon Guerrero said in a statement, “i would like to personally acknowledge the men and women of the highways division, our project management team, Hawaiian rock, our government agency partners and the federal highway administration – Hawaii division for helping to expedite this emergency project.” DPW is reminding the public to expect single lane closures for the next couple days as work on the sidewalks, curbs, and gutters is completed.
