Guam – The Department of Public Works has issued an advisory to all motorists that beginning Wednesday, November 7, there will be additional lane restrictions and closures at the intersection of Marine Corps Drive and Route 4. The two right (outer) lanes heading west on Route 4 approaching the intersection will be restricted to right turns only and the entrance into the Paseo Loop from Route 4 will be restricted to a single (left) lane.
Core Tech International will be positioning equipment and driving piles on the south side of the Hagåtña Bridge Replacement Project. The work is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete. All motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the area and to obey all traffic signs and flagmen. The Department of Public Works thanks the public for their continued cooperation and patience.
The $16.4M Route 1/ Route 8 Hagåtña Bridges project is jointly funded by the Department of Defense and the Federal Highway Administration and is expected to be completed by the spring of 2014.
