DPW: Lane Shifts Have Begun on Route 11 While Pavement Markers Are Installed

195

Guam – Beginning TODAY, Tuesday, January 22, through Thursday, January 24, drivers can expect to encounter lane shifts along Route 11 while contractors apply permanent pavement markings along the roadway.

Lane shifts will remain in place through Wednesday, January 23, on Route 1 near the Route 1 / Route 11 intersection.  The northbound lanes will be split around the work zone as the contractor performs pavement resurfacing operations.

Beginning Friday, January 25, and continuing on Saturday, January 26, between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, the two northbound lanes of Route 1 will be closed while contractors mill the pavement surface and install underground conduit along Route 1.  Drivers will be shifted to the median lane, which will temporarily serve as a single northbound through-lane and left-turn lane during this time.

Also occurring on Friday, January 25, the Route 11 exit ramp leading to southbound Route 1 will be closed for milling operations.  Drivers exiting Route 11 will still be allowed access onto southbound Route 1 via detour lanes.

On Saturday, January 26, between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, the two southbound lanes and the median lane of Route 1 will be closed while contractors continue road milling operations.  Drivers on southbound Route 1 will be detoured to a single temporary southbound  lane during this time.

Finally, on Saturday January 26, between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, the on-ramp from Route 1 leading to westbound Route 11 will be closed for road milling operations; however drivers will still be allowed access onto westbound Route 11 via temporary detour.
