Guam – The Department of Public Works is taking the fight against cancer to the streets in hopes of raising money for those afflicted with the disease.

With American Cancer Society’s 2019 Relay for Life about a month away, DPW has decided to host a boot drive to support the annual event.

The boot drive will take place on Tuesday, April 23 at the intersection of DPW and Route 1, between Kmart and GTA.

The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will end at 5:30 p.m.

The funds raised will support the Relay for Life, a signature fundraiser cancer walk event where team members take turns walking around a designated path to signify that cancer never sleeps and neither do we.
