Guam – The Department of Public Works has announced that on Monday, February 6 its contractor Maeda Pacific, and subcontractor Hawaiian Rock Products will proceed with laying the final course of pavement on Route 16 at the intersection of the Guam Main Facility Post Office and Guam Army National Guard Readiness Center in Barrigada.
Paving will occur in three stages from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, at which time motorists can expect lane closures and restrictions.
Signage and safety personnel will be in place to ensure the safety of travelers through the area while the route is reduced to a single lane. Drivers are asked to remain alert and heed the direction of construction personnel or seek alternate routes. Delays and increased travel time should be anticipated if traveling through this area.
