DPW: Route 17 Paving to Continue Next MONDAY Oct. 22


Guam – The Department of Public Works has issued an alert that its contractor Sumitomo Mitsui Construction and subcontractor, Hawaiian Rock, will proceed with paving on Route 17, weather permitting.
From 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 22, and again on Tuesday, October 23, placement of friction course pavement will occur on a 3,500-foot section of Route 17 starting from the Route 4 intersection.

Motorists are advised that traffic will be restricted to one lane during this time.  Signage and safety personnel will be in place to direct traffic and to ensure the safety of travelers through the area. Drivers are asked to remain alert and heed the direction of construction personnel.
