Guam – The driver who hit bicyclist Eric Bell has been identified as 23-year old Eddie John Camacho.

GPD PIO Capt. Kim Santos says Camacho has not yet been arrested and the case is still under investigation. Bell who is 6’7″ inches tall, was wearing bright clothing and using a crosswalk when he walked his bicycle across the street early in the morning of June the 2nd. Bell was crossing Rt.1 near the Micronesia Mall when he was struck by a 1995 Honda Accord that was traveling Northbound. Bell was described as unconscious and unresponsive when medics arrived at the scene. He passed away at the Guam Regional Medical City on June 17. On June 21st GPD investigators shut down part of Rt.1 to further investigate Bell’s death. Again GPD Captain Kim Santos says the case remains under investigation.

  1. I’d like to ask Kim Santos if there really is an investigation going on on is she just stonewalling? What are the chances that Eddie John Camacho is somehow related to personnel from GPD? The victim followed the traffic rules and lost his life. Eddie shouldn’t have been texting while driving and the guy is free? Makes as much sense as pink elephants and the moon being made of cheese.

  2. I’m glad the media has identified the murderer of this bicyclist. Now how long will it take GPD to arrest this person? I’m not holding my breath.
