The Guam Police Department is setting up Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Checkpoints this weekend.
Police say, in line with the “Drive Sober Get Pulled Over” campaign, GPD’S Highway Patrol Division will be conducting DUI Checkpoints on Friday June 5, from 6:00pm to Saturday June 6, 6:00am.
The roadways affected will be:
-Route 1 Marine Corps Drive Hagatna to Dededo
-Route 16 Army Drive Barrigada to Harmon
-Route 8 Purple Heart Memorial Highway Maite to Barrigada
-Route 10 Vietnam Veterans Highway Barrigada to Mangilao
-Route 14 Chalan San Vitores Tumon
Motorists are asked to proceed with caution and expect delays while entering a DUI Checkpoint as officers will be stationed along the roadway.
The Guam Police Department is asking the community to designate a responsible sober driver.
