Suspicious Early Morning Fire Damages 2 Rooms at GW High

Guam – An arson investigation is underway after a fire broke out at George Washington High School early this morning [Tuesday]. GFD Spokesman Andy Arceo says units from Barrigada and Yona responded to fire at about 3:40 this morning and it was extinguished by 3:53.

Arceo says the fire was confined to 2 rooms located behind the school’s main office. The fire destroyed the contents of the rooms, but did not damage the structure.

The blaze will not effect the opening of school. GW High will be open for classes today. Arceo says there wasn’t enough damage to close the school.
