Guam – Stakeholders from the public school system gathered in a peaceful demonstration at Skinner’s Plaza Tuesday afternoon to protest the new bell schedule for high schools.
While the gathering was planned by high school teachers a number of students from various schools also were in attendance. Participants held up signs reading, “More class does not equal more learning,” “GEB please reconsider,” and “Let’s work together.”
The group invited board members and senators to come to the demonstration to talk about education issues. Teachers say the purpose of the gathering was to remind the board that teachers and other stakeholders want to be in the decision making process for new policies.
