Guam – GuamBasketball.com held a press conference for EKTIO post up basketball shoes that were worn by its 2011 Holiday TipOFF Tournament award recipients. Presenting and demonstrating the value of its produce was account exec Kenneth Henderson based out of Japan’s corporate office.
Henderson showed each player the proper way to lace up their shoe and instructed the players on court drills to demonstrate its performance.
“Protect and defend is our philosophy when it comes to preventing sprained ankles,” stated Henderson. Agreeing with Henderson was 14 year old Scott Ulloa of St. John’s School. “I felt comfortable wearing the shoes and did not worry about injuring myself because of the support,” stated Ulloa. He added that he was concerned about the shoe feeling heavy but once he got on the court it was surprisingly light.
James Stake who was awarded the 18 plus varsity division all defensive player award commented on its comfort and support. “The shoe is comfortable with good support and fit well to my feet straight out of the box,” stated Stake. Fourteen year old Kali Benavente agreed with Stake. “The support of the shoe was what I liked about the shoe,” stated Benavente.
Henderson continues his travels to introduce its line of shoes to the Philippines and Singapore. “EKTIO will continue it’s presence on Guam and has committed to support GuamBasketball.com as a sponsor in its year round tournaments at Tamuning Gym.
