Emmanuel Thomas to Be “Officially” Installed as Guam Postmaster THURSDAY, August 23


Guam – Emmanuel Thomas will be officially installed as the Guam Postmaster at a special program scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 23 at the John Pangelinan Gerber Post Office Building at 489 Army Drive.

The brief installation ceremony will feature remarks by new USPS Honolulu District Manager Frank Santos and a representative of Guam Congressional Delegate Madeleine Bordallo and culminate in the administration of the postmaster’s Oath of Office by Santos. Attendance at the ceremony is by invitation only.

Thomas has been serving as the Postmaster of the Guam Post Office since Mar. 24. He replaced Fred Workman, who last year transferred to a mainland U.S. postal facility

As Guam Postmaster, Thomas supervises more than 100 postal employees and the daily processing and distribution of mail to 25,000 PO Boxes and to more than 19,000 addresses on 23 delivery routes.

He is a 22-year postal employee who had most recently served as the Customer Services Supervisor at the Farmington (Michigan) Post Office. He began his postal career as a mailhandler at the Detroit Processing & Distribution Center.
