Guam – Guam Police have arrested 29 year old Eric Jonah Santos Carriaga of Chalan Pago on vehicular homicide charges in connection with the April 9 double fatality on route 10 in Mangilao across from Father Duenas High School.
Carriaga was magistrated in Superior Court Thursday and ordered held on $100-thousand dollar bond.

The accident occured early on a Saturday morning. Carriaga was driving a 1998 red Mercury Mystique.
He was heading south on Route 10 when he lost control and crossed over the northbound lane and went through a guardrail striking a coconut tree.
His 25 year old brother Jermaine Carriaga was in the back seat of the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at Naval Hospital.
His 19 year old cousin, Jay Quintanilla, was in the front passenger seat had to be extracted from the vehicle by the “Jaws-of-Life.” And he later died at GMH. Guam Police Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that Carriaga has been booked and confined on 2 counts of negligent homicide, 2 counts DUI with injuries, 2 counts reckless driving with injuries, no drivers license, no insurance and other charges.
The April 9th traffic accident occurred on Route 10 across the Father Duenas High School. 2 people died marking the islands 7th and 8th traffic related fatalities of the year.
In all 10 people have died on Guam’s roadways in 2011.
