Guam – Erica’s House got a fresh make-over Saturday from a group of roughly 80 volunteers from the island’s Church of Latter Day Saints.
Nearly 60 youth and 20 adult volunteers gathered at Erica’s House Saturday afternoon and despite the bad weather, they managed to do some painting, plant some flowers, and spruce up the out-door playground used by the children.
The Mormon youth were participating in an annual 3-day island-wide youth conference which included a community service project.
Erica’s House is a family visitation center mandated by the Family Violence Act of 1998. It provides support service for parents and children and is operated by Soroptimist International of Guam.
The young people who volunteered chose Erica’s House as their service project.
