Guam – Preliminary exit polls conducted by two different groups have two of the four democratic gubernatorial teams in a tight race for number one.
The first poll was performed by UOG political science students under the guidance of Professor Ron McNinch. The second poll was performed by public school teacher Andri Baynum who is a member of a local political action group called Guam Citizens for Public Accountability.
McNinch’s poll has the Democratic Gubernatorial Team of Lou Leon Guerrero-Josh Tenorio ahead with 239 votes, Frank Aguon-Alicia Limtiaco with 195 votes, Carl Gutierrez-Fred Bordallo with 142 votes, Dennis Rodriguez-David Cruz with 119 votes. On the Republican side, Ray Tenorio-Tony Ada, the sole team on the GOP side of the ballot, with 124 votes.
The McNinch poll gathered data from 819 voters.
The Baynum poll sampled 307 voters with 107 voting for Aguon-Limtiaco, 84 for Leon Guerrero-Tenorio, 50 voting for Rodriguez-Cruz, and 49 voting for Gutierrez-Bordallo. Tenorio-Ada received 17 votes.
