Happy Labor Day Marianas!!!

Labor Day is a time to celebrate the people of our island and their hard work that they do every day.

Guam – On Sunday, the Government of Guam celebrated Labor Day with the annual Picnic which brings together GovGuam employees and their families from each agency on island. This year’s theme was “Hatsa Guam” which translated means “Lifting Guam.”

Governor Eddie Baza Calvo thanked all GovGuam employees stating quote “Our island has come a long way in the last several years. Our tourism industry continues to break records, our private sector is expanding, creating new jobs and strengthening our economy and our GovGuam employees continue to work hard for our community. As families across the nation celebrate Labor Day, we want to express our appreciation to all of our people for the tremendous work they do day in and day out.”

This year’s picnic featured live music, BBQ  and activities for the whole family.
