Guam – Roads were blocked off early Tuesday morning down south as police investigated a serious car crash that ended in tragedy.
This is the 8th traffic fatality reported this year.
The fatal crash occurred on Route 2 and 2A in Agat at around 4:00 a.m. According to Guam Police Department spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao, as police conducted their investigation and assessment, they were notified by Naval Hospital that the operator of the vehicle had succumbed to injuries sustained from the crash.
Tapao said the preliminary investigation shows that the victim was operating a Suzuki Grand Vitara north of Route 2 onto Route 2A when the operator lost control of the vehicle, ran off the roadway, and collided with the guard rail.
