Fatal auto crash in Tiyan

(Press Release) GPD’s Highway Patrol Division report a fatal auto crash that occurred on Sunset Boulevard in Tiyan this morning.

According to Sgt Paul S.N. Tapao, GPD spokesman, the preliminary investigation suggests that at around 6:15 a.m., a 58-year-old man operating a 1991 Toyota Hilux pickup was transported to Naval Hospital Guam, with CPR being conducted while en route.

The male operator had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by attending physicians.

This case remains open as crash investigators have yet to determine if speed alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

This case marks the 5th fatal crash for the year.
