Things started a little sluggish in this one! It was the FD Friars trying to advance to the SEMI’s, they just had to get through the Southern Dolphins to do it! No much for a first half in this one. Second half though! Dolphins flounder early in the 3rd. The FD defense is able to disrupt Southern’s game plan. They cause two back to back turnovers! FD’s running game hiccuping at the wrong time BUT after costly fumble, the Dolphins have horrible field position. They start from their own 5 and Yep just what you think happened, happened. Southern fumbles FD capitalizes! Power RUNNER De’Aundre Cruz does what he does, he scores on a 3 yard scamper to score! The Father Duenas Friars make their case to be contended with. They win easily on the hill at Naval Hospital. 41-6 the end score. FD advances, they will face the 2nd place JFK Islanders who squeaked by GUAM HIGH to advance.
