FBI Director Rebukes Former President Donald Trump’s Statements on Property Raid

“Violence and threats against law enforcement, including the FBI, are dangerous and should be deeply concerning to all Americans.” Says FBI Director Christopher Way.

In National News – The FBI Director is rebuking Former President Donald Trump’s statements on the recent raid of his property.

The Director, in response to Trump, says that “unfounded attacks on the integrity of the FBI erode respect for the rule of law and are a grave disservice to the men and women who sacrifice so much to protect others.”

Earlier this week the FBI raided the former President’s “Mar-a-Lago” estate.

According to ABC News, Trump called the raid “the latest ‘political targeting’ against him.”

ABC News says, “Trump…cast the lawful search of his estate as an attack on all his supporters, saying the FBI raid ‘violated’ not only his home but the ‘home of every patriotic American.'”

Following the raid, the former President, together with other republicans, set up a fundraising event, to urge supporters to donate. Trump issued an email that says “rush in a donation immediately to publicly stand with me against this never-ending witch hunt.”
