Coach Eddie Pelkey and the Father Duenas Friars have been on a hot roll in Boys High School Varsity Basketball this year. First they win the GSPN pre-season varsity championship game against the Jfk Islanders in early January. Two weeks later they headed to Tokyo Japan and won the Far East Kanto Classic Invitational tournament against the previously unbeaten Kadena Panthers. The Kanto Classic featured some of the best BHS teams in the Far East region. And a week and a half ago they won the IIAAG BHS Championship against the Defending champions the St. Paul Warriors.
Last Saturday night in the inaugural Guam Basketball Confederation all-island varsity championship game they won their 4th Championship trophy. And finished the year unbeaten with a perfect record.
