The Federal Election Commission has sent a letter to the office of Congressman Michael San Nicolas asking for an update on a required July quarterly report.
In its letter, the FEC wrote: “It has come to the attention of the Federal Election Commission that you may have failed to file the above-referenced report of receipts and disbursements or failed to file a report covering the entire reporting period as required by the Federal Election Campaign Act as amended …”
In response, Congressman San Nicolas said his office did file a report, just one day late. The congressman said his office was sent the notice on July 31 and they filed the very next day.
“We got it done and will do better going forward. During the due date period, we were hosting the liberation and wreath-laying ceremonies and working to get war claims passed,” San Nicolas said in a statement.
