Guam – Governor Eddie Calvo has named Felix Pangelinan the new acting Port Deputy General Manager for the next 90 days.
Pangelinan has more than 27 years of service with the Port Authority of Guam. Starting his career in July 1983 as an Equipment Operator 3, Pangelinan worked his way up the ranks to Assistant Harbor Master in July 2006. For the last three months he has held the position of Acting Harbor Master after the retirement of Francisco G. Santos.
“Our new Deputy General Manager brings a wealth of experience in port operations, which will help us in our efforts to transform the Port Authority of Guam into a world-class sea port,” said Port General Manager Pedro A. Leon Guerrero, Jr. “I look forward to working with Felix on our goal to prepare the Port for significant growth and to ensure that our agency continues to move forward for the impending military buildup and Guam’s organic growth.”
“I’d like to thank Governor Calvo for this appointment and placing his trust and confidence in me for this position. I look forward to working with the Board, management and employees as we continue with the monumental efforts already underway to modernize our commercial sea port,” said Felix Pangelinan. “I am committed to doing what’s in the best interest of the Port Authority of Guam and our community.”
