The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is sponsoring a Guam Industry Event today Monday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Guam, Jesus and Eugenia Leon Guerrero Business and Public Administration Building, Room 129.
The purpose of the event is to identify local and small business owners interested in doing business with the federal government as it relates to the procurement of goods at the beginning of a disaster.
FEMA is looking for local and small business owners to assist before, during, and after a disaster but requires these businesses to be part of the federal systems so they can be found when conducting market research.
Speakers from FEMA, Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Guam Small Business Development Center, and Guam Contractors Association will be present during the event.
The event is open at no cost to interested vendors, however, registration is required at https://guamptac.ecenterdirect.com/events/489.
