Guam – A former teacher at D.L. Perez Elementary School, Frederick Fernsler, has entered into a plea agreement admitting guilt to a charge of  Official Misconduct as a misdemeanor.

In an email, Superior Court Spokeswoman Maria Cenzon says the plea agreement has not yet been signed by Judge Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson.

Fernseler was arrested in June of 2009. Police found cameras in his classroom which was sometimes used as a changing room by students.

Cenzon stated that Fernsler’s plea deal provides for a 1 year suspended sentence,  with credit for time served. The plea agreement also calls for 2 years of  supervised probation, during which he must perform 100 hours of community service. And Fernsler must pay court costs, and a fine of  $100 dollars.
