FHP Health Center was recently listed as a participating urgent care clinic within the Department of Veterans Affairs network. Veterans served by Veterans Affairs can now be treated at the FHP Urgent Care.
“This listing demonstrates the Department of Veterans Affairs’ confidence in the quality healthcare provided by FHP Urgent Care,” said Rose Grino, RN, FHP Health Center administrator.
FHP Urgent Care is open 7:00 am – 11:00 pm, 7 days a week.
Veterans Affairs offers eligible veterans an urgent care benefit in the community from a network of urgent care locations. This benefit provides eligible veterans with greater choice and access to timely, high-quality care for the treatment of minor injuries and illnesses that require immediate attention but are not life-threatening such as but not limited to colds and flu-like symptoms, minor burns, and skin infections.
This benefit is considered open access, allowing veterans to access urgent care within Veterans Affairs‘ community care network and receive care without prior authorization from Veterans Affairs.
FHP Health Center recently expanded its coverage to Government of Guam employees as an Aetna healthcare provider. For the first time ever, all Government of Guam employees now have access to the FHP Health Center.
