Fight Between Agat Neighbors Over Bushcutting Leads to Stabbing; Clayton Valendo Arrested

Guam – Guam Police this afternoon [Wednesday] arrested 36 year old Clayton Valendo for stabbing his neighbor.

It happened  on Perry Street in Agat. GPD Spokeswoman Sgt. Liz Flickinger says the call came into the Agat Precinct at 1:19pm.

The victim had been stabbed on the right side of his back, but Sgt. Flickinger says when medics arrived on the scene, the victim refused treatment.

She says the two men were fighting over how the victim was bush-cutting his yard which, Sgt. Flickinger says, “did not appeal to the suspect.”

Valendo has been booked and confined for attempted murder, aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony and destruction of evidence.   

 

 

At about 1:19 p.m. this afternoon Agat Precinct officers responded to a reported stabbing incident at Perry Street in Agat.  Officers arrived and noticed a male victim (Micronesian) with stab wound to the right side of his back area.  Medics were at the scene but victim refuses transport or further treatment.  The suspect identified as:

CLAYTON VALENDO        M/Fil/36 years   (next door neighbor)

Was arrested for:  attempted murder, aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony and destruction of evidence.  He will be booked and confined at the Hagatna Holding Facility.

The dispute was over how the victim was supposedly bushcutting his yard that did not appeal to the suspect
