A Guam Fire Department firefighter has been arrested for drug possession.
According to GFD Chief Daniel Stone, he is still waiting for further details from the Guam Police Department regarding the case.
Dominik Salas was pulled over by police in Agana Heights. During the traffic stop, the officer noted that Salas was displaying characteristics of being under the influence of methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of methamphetamine. Fire Chief Daniel Stone confirmed that Salas was off-duty at the time of the incident.
“The Dominik Salas case, I still have not gotten all the details of it so it’s still under review. I have engaged with my staff inspectors to do the inquiries and we are just waiting on the additional information from the Guam Police Department,” he said.
Salas is assigned to the Inarajan Fire Station and has been with the department for over 15 years.
According to Department of Corrections records, Salas was arrested on offenses of illegal possession of a scheduled two controlled substance and expired registration among other charges. He was booked and confined.
