Unlike last year, this year’s Liberation Day celebration will have a fireworks display.
And not just a fireworks display, there will be drone displays, too, in three areas of the island.
According to GVB President Carl Gutierrez, on the night of July 21, there will be three simultaneous fireworks displays in Tumon, Hagatna, and Merizo.
According to Gutierrez, the drone display is a first for Guam and the whole region.
He added that the drone display will be brought to Guam by the same company that organized the drone display during President Biden’s inauguration.
“So these are professionals who will be bringing the drone display to Guam,” Gutierrez said.
The drone displays are slated to go first so that they won’t be affected by the smoke from the fireworks displays.
