Guam – Two more companies joined GVB’s Hafa Adai pledge today. (Wednesday)
First Hawaiian Bank signed the pledge this morning. The idea of the pledge is to have island businesses promote Guam’s culture through the Hafa Adai spirit. First Hawaiian Bank’s Guam and CNMI region manager Laura Dacanay explained the pledge saying, “It is to greet all our customers and visitors with Chamoru salutations such as Hafa Adai and buenas, to utilize Chamoru salutations in our emails and communications letters and Christmas cards and we have been sending out Christmas cards for years that say Felis Navidad in our Chamoru language, support local arts by displaying local artwork and images in our branches and we have a beautiful portrait behind us.”
