41-year-old Terry Timothy from the village of Yigo was Charged with “Activities within Marine Preserves and Special Regulations to be Applied to Select Marine Preserves”

According to the Department of Agriculture – Law Enforcement Officers arrested Timothy on Dec 3. Conservation officers observed two lights scanning the water and saw two individuals spearfishing between Pedro Santos Park and UOS beach.

The conservation officers monitored the activity until the individuals exited the water. One of the two men – was identified to be Timothy – was apprehended. The officers conducted another search where they retrieved all the individual’s fishing items and the fish that were caught.

An investigation is ongoing for the other individual that eluded apprehension.
