The Aviation Herald website is reporting that United flight 137 from Guam to Nagoya Japan experienced a “flap problem” Wednesday, Dec. 18.
According to the report, a United Boeing 737-800 was on final approach to Nagoya’s runway 36 when the crew received abnormal indications for the flaps and went around.
The aircraft climbed to 5000 feet while working the checklists. The aircraft landed safely on runway 36 at a normal speed about 15 minutes later.
There were 106 people on board the flight.
The Aviation Herald reports that the United aircraft was able to depart for the return flight with a delay of one hour and reached Guam with only a 45 minutes delay.
