Flores Memorial Library Offers Free Services for the Blind and Physically Handicapped

Guam – The Guam Public Library System (GPLS) is a Sub-Regional Library for the National Library Service for the Blind & Physically Handicapped – NLS website is http://www.loc.gov/nls/.

GPLS serves the people of Guam and the neighboring islands of Micronesia and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).

This NLS service at GPLS is a totally FREE library service providing audio books, large print books and magazines to those unable to read regular-sized print or unable to hold books due to a visual or physical condition.

GPLS has calculated that only a fraction of eligible Guam residents are taking advantage of this free service, and we would welcome your assistance in getting the word out about our services. One of our Library Technicians would be happy to speak to a group at your office, or on your next meeting about our services.

If you know, or know anyone who may have any other suggestions or ideas, about our NLS service, or have questions about the NLS service we provide, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Rodney Taitague, Library Technician I, or Ms. Linda Aguon, Library Technician II, at 475-4751/475-4752, or via email to gpls@gpls.guam.gov.

You may also visit the Guam Public Library System’s website at gpls.guam.gov for more information.

Thank you, “Si Yu’os Ma’åse” for your assistance and we look forward to any of your suggestions or ideas and possibly meeting with you.
