Former Guam Resident Seeks Community’s Help After Terrible Paragliding Accident

Her parents, Ray and Leanne Siguenza are just about to complete the last leg of their 30-hour flight from Seattle to Cape Town South Africa.

Guam – 24-year-old Brittany or “Bri” Siguenza born and raised in Guam is fighting for her life in Africa after a terrible para-gliding accident.

Her aunt Jamie de Guzman told PNC that Bri traveled to Africa with two of her friends for a short holiday vacation. Guzman says Bri is a humble girl who was taking part in a township tour and visiting residents. During her last few days in Africa, Bri was in a para-gliding accident when the pilot lost control and slammed into a wall with Bri positioned in front. She says Bri is currently being treated at Christian Barnard Hospital and is in critical condition, where she has undergone multiple CT scans and surgeries. Bri’s family members has set up a GoFundMe page for Bri where donations will assist with her medical procedures.

  1. I pray for the recovery of this girl. I cannot imagine what her family and friends are going through. It’s every parent’s worse nightmare.
