Former #1 D1 collegiate tennis player and 2017 graduate from the University of Hawaii Cindy Nguyen says the opportunities are favorable for Guam students to play College Tennis.
These words are encouraging as Nguyen, who is now Director and coach of the Guam National Tennis center, is the first Wahine tennis player out of the University of Hawaii to get selected all four years to the BWC first-team all-conference. She encourages local upcoming youth players to aim high. Said Nguyen “In NCAA Div 1 tennis I believe there are 3000 schools available”.
Nguyen is now on Island focusing on teaching tennis to Guam’s youth. PNC Sports sat down for an interview with the Guam National Training Center Director. CLICK VIDEO FOR THE FULL STORY
