Guam – Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo Friday joined friends and family of Frank Leon Guerrero as he took the Oath of Office for the position of U.S. Marshal for Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. The ceremony was held at the U.S. Marshals Service Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. Congresswoman Bordallo hosted a reception in honor of Marshal Leon Guerrero at her office in the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill.
As U.S. Marshal for Guam and the Northern Marianas, Leon Guerrero will be responsible for the apprehension of federal fugitives, protection of the federal judiciary, operation of the Witness Security Program, transportation of federal prisoners, and seizure of criminal property within his jurisdiction.
“I congratulate Frank on being sworn-in as the U.S. Marshal for Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands,” Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo said today. “I have known Frank for many years, and I am confident that he will be an effective U.S. Marshal. I commend him for his years of service to the people of Guam, and I look forward to his leadership of the Marshals Service and his contributions to law enforcement in our communities.”
