Free TB, COVID-19 testing, and TDAP updates at JFK today

The Guam Department of Education (GDOE) and the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) will be administering free tuberculosis (TB) skin tests, COVID-19 (Rapid Antigen) testing, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis Vaccine (Tdap), to students at John F. Kennedy High School (JFKHS) on Monday, February 8, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The free clinic is being conducted for JFKHS students that are pending required vaccinations and TB skin tests. The testing will be conducted at the main office area on the Islander campus.

Parents and legal guardians of students under the age of 18, must be present on campus to sign consent forms for their children. All participants are encouraged to bring their latest shot records with them. Parents and legal guardians may also receive the flu shot.

Participants will need to adhere to the following COVID-19 Mitigation Guidelines:

= Undergo a temperature check before entering campus;

= Wear a mask at all times;

= Maintain a physical of distance of at least 6 ft.; and

= Wash hands or use hand sanitizer often.

JFKHS student-athletes are highly encouraged to take advantage of the free COVID-19 testing on-campus.
